Ever want to know how to make your own Alaskan style trapper hat or fur mittens? This class will show you where to start in four hours.

You’ll get to take home your own started sewing project for fur headband. This class will get you started. Be prepared to work with a needle and thread while you hand sew your brand new furry project.

The instructor will show you a few different furs which can be used to sew with and some of the pros and cons to them. We will also give you recommended places to buy fur and leather.

Provided in this class will be a glovers needle, beeswax, thread, pre-cut fur pieces, Velcro and a cloth backing.

The students will start the assemble their headband after a brief introduction to the preferred sewing stitch.

You will take home your project to finish, to include the thread, wax, needle, template for making more headbands and instructions.

Recommended experience: Beginner
Required supplies: Please bring your own thimble, reading glasses if needed
